It’s been a great start to the year for the Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) Community Learning

Cooking up a storm for Chinese New Year!

Programme. In January, 4 courses took place including Yoga, Benefit Changes, Budgeting and Money Advice, Chinese New Year Cooking Workshop and a 10 week ‘Skills for working with children’ course began. A total of 32 customers attended these 4 different courses. 19 of these people had never attended a course through SARH’s Community Learning Programme before.

It’s great to see lots of new faces enjoying and benefitting from these opportunities and hopefully this will continue throughout 2014.

There are lots of new and exciting things coming from the SARH Community Involvement Team this year so watch this space!

SO WHAT?

The Community Learning Programme is used, enjoyed and appreciated by lots of customers. Many have gained confidence, friends and skills and for some customers it has even changed their lives e.g. by empowering them to find employment or supporting them to manage their finances!
